Immunity Fills Vulnerability
I was on a walk, in a barren place in winter, when I passed by this milkweed pod that was opening unseasonably. Vulnerable caterpillars and butterflies are immune to their toxicity, but they like to feed on their leaves because it makes them inherently distasteful and unwanted by their predators.
I am aware of most of my enemies, as well as the things that battle in my mind. Keenly aware of my vulnerable places, I’ve found that the more that I feed on truth, in any area, the more immune (albeit distasteful) I become to harmful attacks, predators, manipulators and toxic situations.
Jeremiah 15:16 “Your words were found, and I ate them, and your words became to me a joy and the delight of my heart, for I am called by your name, O Lord God of hosts.”
